AN: This is being crossposted to Spacehey. Because I chose to, that's why.
Living off of RSS feeds is rather interesting- so when my feed finishes(and it does end), I'm (mostly) done with the internet. I can safely shut down my laptop and shower, eat lunch, play MKWii, clean, or take part in whatever pressing matter emerges. It's... nice.
Today took around 10 minutes to finish, so I was able to take a shower, do a good amount of vacuuming, clean the counters, and pretty everything up a notch. This is what I'm like after ONLY ONE COFFEE, folks. Keep that in mind when you mindlessly swoon over my elegance.
After making up for 6 full days of doing nothing, I decided that libraries are awesome(hence the blog title), and that I'd better get my flank down to one. A nerd in a library, who'd've guessed? Not I, not you, not anypony.
Unfortunately, while I have the way to the library mostly down to memory, I'd have to pass my old workplace on the way, and they don't know I'm still in town. (Well, everyone knows except for the lead lady, and I was meaning to tell her, but she was "sick" on my last few days, so I never got a chance.) So I tried to take a different path. Excellent idea.
After taking a nature trail to hell, I followed a road I didn't recognize for around 2 albums before hitting a dead end and turning around, checking other roads, and doing everything except the smart idea of looking up a map. But I enjoy being lost. The trees and forest leaning over me, the sea and the sky closing in and rippling into each other, the other pedestrians infinitely confused on what the hell I'm doing... it's a beauty to behold, and you, dear reader, are the eye.
After mangling my way to the library, I got a few things(unbelievably)- a JD Salinger (Raise High The Roof Beam), a volume or two of Yu-Gi-Oh, and some CDs- Sting, Green Day, Elton John, RCHP, and Judas Priest. Keep in mind that I have no intention of illegally ripping these CDs onto my computer through criminal 3rd-party software such as iTunes, Windows Media Player, or MusicBee- even the thought is unkind.
In total, I was out around 3 hours on a 30-minute trip because I was trying to find a shortcut- but at least I had a good soundtrack. So-Lo, The Spine, Synchronicity, and Nothing Like The Sun were nice picks, so I can only compliment myself- after all, I am the greatest person on this planet of all time, and nobody can contest that ever for any reason. (Am I laying it on too thick?)
The moral of the story is, getting lost is rather fun, and I suggest you all give it a try.
